At Crown Cork & Seal, we practice a highly interactive approach in
our recruiting efforts. We truly believe that recruiting is a "two-way
street" in which both you and the Company learn about each other
to determine if a mutual fit exists. We want candidates to feel
comfortable with the employment process and know what to expect each step
of the way. In today's fast paced world, the employment process
necessitates many stages. Learning about these stages in advance will help
you prepare for each step so that you can relax, be yourself and shine
throughout the process!
Job Application
Review our current job opportunities.
Once you locate a position that is a fit with your career interests,
please take a moment to complete our online
application.
Upon submittal, you will receive an e-mail verifying receipt of your
application. All applications are given a thorough evaluation by our Human
Resources Recruiter and the appropriate hiring manager. The candidates
whose qualifications most closely match our needs are invited to
participate in Interview Process
If you are not selected for the position, your resume is loaded into
our Career Connection Database so it is available to a group of Crown
Recruiters nationwide. Our Recruiters continually query the database for
qualified candidates as new opportunities arise. Although we would prefer
personal contact with each individual at this stage, the volume of
applications that we receive makes this impossible. Thank you for
understanding!
Interview Process
At Crown, every position is unique so the interview
process takes many different avenues.
Often the process begins with a brief phone interview conducted by
either the Human Resources Representative or Hiring Manager.
The next step is your invitation to come in for a face-to-face
interview. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and asked to complete our
employment application and background check release form. The interview
generally begins with the Human Resource Representative and proceeds to
the Hiring Manager. In some cases, you'll meet with some key members of
the staff.
It is common for our candidates to have multiple interviews with one or
more individuals so a second or third interview may be scheduled.
Ideally, the interview process at Crown Cork & Seal will move
quickly. Sometimes there are unavoidable circumstances that slow the
interview process, despite genuine enthusiasm for the individuals being
considered. We appreciate your patience in these situations.
Background Checking
In order to ensure a safe working environment for
all of our employees, all candidates are subject to a background check.
The background check is conducted, with your consent, by a leading
provider of pre-employment screening services. As an additional step in
the process, pre-employment reference checks are completed by our staff.
Extension of Employment Offer
Once a final selection has been made and
the background checking is complete, you will receive a call from our
Human Resources Representative inviting you to join Crown as an employee.
A formal offer letter will be sent to you in the overnight mail along with
detailed information on our benefits. The offer will remain contingent
upon the Pre-Employment Physical and Drug-Screen.
Pre-Employment Physical and Drug Screen
All offers of employment are
contingent upon your submitting to our pre-employment physical and being
declared qualified to perform the job described, with or without
reasonable accommodation.
It is the responsibility and policy of the Company to provide a work
environment free of Illegal drugs and alcohol. As such, the employment
offer is also contingent upon your passing a pre-employment drug-screen.
Results from the Pre-Employment Physical and Drug Screen are generally
available 24-48 hours after completion.
