Crown Cork and Seal is currently looking for an important member of the IT team. The Senior Web Developer will design, construct and support web applications in a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 environment.   

 

The individual selected for the position will become part of a diverse application support group and will report directly to the Senior Manager Business Application Systems. 

 

Specific duties will include the following:

·         Designs, develops, codes, tests, debugs and documents applications to specifications and to fulfill production requirements

·         Develop test scripts for system testing

·         Accomplish programming work on time and ensure project goals are met as per requirement

·         Provides accurate time estimates relating to project development and assists in preparation of project management/status reporting, specifications, create system/user documentation and instruction manuals

·         Provide production support and troubleshoot system issues

·         Support implementation of systems into production environment

·         Assure total quality control management and programming standards; Assisting with the development of standards

·         Adheres to “structured” programming techniques and develops reusable program code.

·         Provide end user testing, training and end to end system integration testing

·         Implements optimized database/file structure, for both existing applications and new systems.

·         Process all required paperwork according to established procedures.

·         Establishes and maintains positive and productive work relationships.

·         Takes personal initiative for technical and professional development.

Technical Qualifications:

·         Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other technical discipline

·         5+ years of experience in the web development field with significant emphasis on Enterprise scale development activities

·         Strong level of software proficiency in using PC software to support activities, especially Microsoft Office, C#/.Net, VB, SQL Server, AS400 databases, Relational Database, Microsoft Visual Studio Developer's Tool Sets - .NET, .ASPX, C#, VB.

·         Coding with Windows SharePoint Services and the SharePoint API including web parts and Microsoft .NET architecture with emphasis on ASP.NET Framework (VB .NET or C#).

·         Experience with Microsoft SQL Server database administration, design and knowledge of SQL language, views, stored procedures, functions and triggers for SQL Server 2000 / 2008. 

·         Experience in migrating from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005 or 2008

·         Experience with ADO.net and SQL/T-SQL as well as JavaScript, DHTML, XHTML, HTML, XML

·         Microsoft IIS web server configuration and administration.

·         Experience creating and maintaining OLAP cubes and dimensions using Analysis Services or TM1.

·         Experience with SharePoint Services 2.0 / 3.0

 

The following experience is a plus:

·          SQL for Oracle

·          Experience working in a manufacturing environment

·          Experience migrating from SharePoint Services 2.0 / 3.0
