As a key member of our Winter Garden food can manufacturing facility, the Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor will work closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure the production of quality product that meets or exceeds customer expectation. Specific responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor include:
- Responsible for providing a safe work environment for our employees.
- Supports the Maintenance Manager in all aspects of daily plant operations and assumes additional responsibilities when needed.
- Supervises, directs, and coordinates activities concerned with tooling drawings, tooling audits, and tooling assembly. This would include utilizing knowledge of product technology, production methods and procedures, standards and machine and equipment capability.
- Collaborates with management to monitor production and QC standards and tooling process capabilities
- Plans and directs engineering and maintenance activities and priorities for equipment in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
- Coordinates engineering and maintenance activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum use of both the employee and equipment resources.
- Reviews and analyzes production to determine causes of non-conformity with product specifications and operating or engineering issues.
- Develops and implements methods and procedures to eliminate operating problems due to tooling or maintenance and improve product quality
- Consults with Corporate Engineering to modify machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in a Technical discipline
- 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing engineering environment
- Experience leading others, including engineers, mechanics, machinists, and others
- Proficient in using AutoCAD
- Rigid packaging or metal forming experience is a plus!
- Mechanical Power Press experience
- Able to read and understand tooling schematics, product drawings, and technical manuals
- Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, & Access
- Proven Project Management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- The ability to work independently and with a team
- Proven time management and prioritizing skills are necessary for this role
