What does Crown look for in Engineering professionals?

A four-year degree in an engineering discipline such as mechanical, electrical, chemical or manufacturing, and a strong willingness to become involved directly in the day to day operations of their particular plant location.  Our opportunities are "hands-on" with the chance to learn the entire manufacturing operation from beginning to end.  We have found that this is a great training ground for our new engineers and this type of training prepares them well for their next career move and beyond.  The right candidate needs to be confident and self-motivated with proven interpersonal skills and an outgoing personality.  They must be able to function effectively in both a team and individual environment with persistence and an attention to detail.  We require the ability to manage multiple projects and the ability to prioritize effectively.  Strong computer skills are essential as our engineering group is always using the latest technologies.

Examples of career opportunities for new graduates:

  • Operations Engineer
  • Supervisor
  • Production Engineer
  • Quality Engineer
  • Electrical Engineers
  • Technical Service Representative
  • Account Manager

Next steps and future opportunities:

While there are never guarantees of future success, employees are provided with the support, training and opportunities for them to move into more senior roles such as Plant Superintendent, Plant Engineer, Department Manger or Plant Manager.  Other non-plant roles could include Manager of Technical Service, Sr. Account Manager, Field Project Manager and Sr. Manager of Production Engineering.
