FINANCE

As a global leader in rigid packaging, Crown has a wide variety of Career Paths and specialized fields for new graduates.  These positions are "hands-on" opportunities to directly affect the manufacturing operations of each location.  For a company that makes one out of every three food cans and one out of every five beverage cans used in North America, and one fourth of all of the aerosol cans used around the world, we have plenty of career opportunities for the right candidates.


The cornerstone of all successful corporations is a dedicated group of professionals who manage the company's finances and plan for it's financial future.  At Crown, our finance team is one of the best and brightest in the industry.  They possess a broad understanding of finance and think "outside of the box" in search of advantages that will benefit the corporation.

Our finance team engages in a wide variety of activities in the treasury, corporate finance and credit areas.  As such, your options are many.  Not sure what avenue is right for you? Here is a sample of the activities for each group:

Corporate Finance ~

Responsibilities of our Corporate Finance group includes determining financial needs, analyzing capital budgeting projects, budget planning, implementing financial plans, interfacing with credit agencies and analysis of possible acquisition and asset sales.  Team members often specialize in specific areas including revenue, planning, capital budgeting and project finance.

Treasury ~

Employees on our Treasury team are responsible for financial planning, cash management and the acquisition and disposition of funds.

Credit ~

The Credit team's main responsibilities involve granting credit to suppliers and collecting on receivables.  The group works within established policies and guidelines.

What does Crown look for in Finance professionals?

A four-year degree in Finance or a related discipline is required.  Relevant experience gained through an internship or full-time part-time position is preferred.  We seek individuals with a broad understanding of finance and strong analytical skills.  The right candidate must be able to function effectively in both a team and individual environment.  Persistence and an attention to detail is key to success in this field.  The ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines is essential.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Access will be needed to complete assigned tasks.

Given the ample opportunities in this area, your career can take a number of paths.
